Twitter sentiment analysis e.g. is the Canadian economy trending positive or negative based on comments on twitter? Graphically analyze results.
Use your research data for statistics or other subjects to create machine learning models that predict future results. This model also tells confidence it has in its predictions. This information can be leveraged to retrain the model to continuously make it smarter.
Prototype a face recognition model that only allows family members to do certain tasks e.g. automatically open the door. Send an alert if other people are trying to unlock.

Why
Artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) are all around us - from suggestions by Siri and Google Map, to recommendations for purchases on Amazon and digital marketing.
While many of us may think AI and machine learning mean more robots and self-driving cars, at a fundamental level, they are about data - and ways to make meaning of data.

This workshops, courses and meetups are open to adults of all ages and genders. We promote families to join together to have a great family time as well.
For university students, we could focus on their specific needs as well.
No programming experience is necessary, however, basic knowledge of Python will help in doing some advanced activities with the models.
