After summer long mathematical fun, it's time to conclude The Canadian Summer Math Contest. Before we talk about the winners, let's review what we accomplished while COVID-19 was impacting lives worldwide. More importantly, let's take a moment to thank people who made CMSC possible. Here are some key highlights:
- ~400 participants from Grade 4-8 across the globe, 95% of students from across Canada. Over 30% of these students were from provinces outside of Ontario, Canada.
- ~1500 hours of live online and recorded training.
- Over 200,000 practice questions were attempted.
- ~50,000 contest questions were attempted by the students.
Unlike regular competitions, our primary goal was to teach through a series of tests. Testimonials from the students clearly reflect that they learnt and had a lot of fun doing the tests. You can review testimonial from our winners here.
CMSC not only provided a platform for students to learn and compete but also allowed our volunteers to showcase their dedication and creativity. Let's start by thanking our amazing volunteers from high school, middle school and university who made CMSC possible. We are truly touched by their selfless attitude and boundless creativity.

Now, its time to congratulate all the participants for their efforts. If your goal was to learn then everyone is a winner. For us you all are winners. The performance of some students was outstanding, hence, we would like to share a list of students in the following 3 categories:
- Distinction Holders ( top ~5%)
- Merit Holders (top ~5-10%)
- Honourable Mention (top ~25% with a minimum average score of 50%)
If a student's average score was very close to the person ahead of them then we moved students to the higher category. All participants who completed at least one test can download a beautifully designed certificate from https://ckstem.moodle.school. You will notice a section for the certificate in the contest course.

Finally, programs like this also require funding. We would like to thank all donors who helped us cover the cost of the program. You are welcome to donate if you have not done so already to help us run more programs like this in the future.
We would like to thank all students and their families for participating. Without you, we couldn't achieve our goal of spreading knowledge. We are committed to helping Canadian students to excel on the global platform. We encourage you to review our "Super 100" program which is focused on providing customized training to drive excellence through these 100 students. It's easier to fill the classes but we would like to fill these only with committed students who would like to excel.
