The main goal of this level is to prepare students for advanced math competitions such as the Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge (COMC), AMC 10, and the American Invitational Mathematics Examination (AIME). Only students who aim to excel in Math should plan to join this course.
If you are not a CKSTEM student already, you need to submit a written test so that we can evaluate if you are ready for this course.
This course will be 4 weeks long with 150 minutes sessions daily. Sessions will start at 8:30 am ET on weekdays. The first 90 minutes will be the lecture portion of the session and the next 60 minutes will be focused on problem-solving by students.
The course will be taught by Cerasela Tesleanu. She is a math teacher at Collège Stanislas Montreal, Canada specializing in various Math and Algorithmics courses. As a mathematics coach, she has successfully trained gifted students for national and international competitions including the math olympiad. She is passionate about the STEAM teaching approach by using math in conjunction with programming and robotics.
