Happy New Year and Vision 2021

January 3, 2021

CKSTEM team would like to wish you all a happy new year and set a vision for 2021 to make a meaningful difference in educating our children. Our key focus in 2020 was to provide an environment for students to compete by bringing students of high potential together and train them hard. Our students performed very well & achieved top spots in almost all competitions. To provide a comprehensive learning experience, we also started several STEM and Public Speaking programs over the year.

In 2021, we will extend this opportunity to educators who can take advantage of our learning platform and help many more students. We are off to a great start and working with a school for gifted students to test our model. For the students who prefer to focus on learning instead of competing, we will be initiating special programs to help them build core concepts. We will keep you posted on the details of these programs.

Our goal is to have millions of students to take advantage of our programs across the globe. To realize this goal, we are making our online self-serve programs free for everyone. These programs include an unlimited number of drills for the students to master core concepts. These self-serve programs will help underprivileged families save hundreds of dollars. You can also access these programs here.

We are committed to keeping our instructor-led customized programs very affordable while delivering top-quality education. Maintaining a university-level learning platform requires a lot of funding and effort. As a non-profit organization, financial independence is critical for us, hence, we rely on community support to make it achievable.

Our hunger to win has just begun. Being at the top of Canadian and USA middle school competitions is not enough for us. We will continue to train students who like to win and make their mark in the world. Canadian Math Olympiad (CMO) is the ultimate math competition. Our goal is to have CKSTEM students get in this most prestigious competition in 2021. Similarly, we would like our American students to get into AIME. It will open endless opportunities for the students. We invite all students to compete with us.

To extend excellence beyond math, we will also be launching two new national-level competitions for computing and public speaking during the summer of 2021.

To support learning beyond school, we will launch scholarship programs for new university students later this year. We are looking for donors who are interested in funding these scholarships. We can initiate scholarship programs in your or your organization's name. We are working on details for this program. Don't hesitate to share your ideas with us.

Finally, we would like to thank all the CKSTEM families who trusted us. Volunteers' commitment and their selfless support were essential to our success. We would also like to recognize two university professors for leading the way. Mrs. Jagroop Randhawa and Cerasela Tesleanu, we greatly appreciate your valuable time to coach our students.

Our future is in the hands of these bright students. We are confident that if a crisis like 2020 appears in the coming years, they will be well equipped to handle it.

Best Wishes.

Yogesh, Shardul, Shifali and Amit.
