CKSTEM is entirely volunteer-run — instructors, contest invigilators, marking teams, mentors, and tech help. There's a role for everyone willing to give a few hours.

Every role includes training, support, and a team that values your time.

Instructors
2-3 hrs/weekTeach a weekly cohort of 9-15 students. Math, English, public speaking, or STEAM. Training and curriculum provided.

Contest invigilators
4-6 hrs/seasonProctor on-site Canadian Innovation Contests in March/April at partner schools across the GTA.

Marking teams
6-10 hrs/seasonScore short-answer and essay submissions for CIPC, CIWC, and CIAC. Rubrics and training provided.

Mentors
1-2 hrs/week1:1 mentoring for high schoolers preparing for senior olympiads like AMC 10, HKIMO finals, and BBB.

Tech volunteers
FlexibleMoodle administration, content authoring, accessibility audits, and contest engine development.

Parent ambassadors
2-4 hrs/monthHelp new families through first-term enrollment. Share your experience at info sessions and assessment days.
